adding ssd questions

Hi,

I bought a 120gb OWC ssd drive about 4 months ago for a mac pro i was going to get. I have since decided against it and now want to put it into my mbp (Macbook Pro 5,5).

Can someone tell me how i'd go about upgrading the firmware(if it needs it).

I know there were issues related to hibernation. is this fixed or will i still have wake up issues.
