iOS adding/testing in-app purchase process (iTunes connect)

i want to add in-app purchase to my app but got confused about the process of managing the in-app purchased products and the technical steps to prepare my app to add it.
so, the questions are, first should i register/create an app in iTunes Connect so that i can manage the in-app purchase products? second, is uploading the app binary a must? third, when creating test users to try the in-app purchase, should i enter dummy informations or actual ones such as the email?
