On my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, I have a separate regular user account configured under parental controls as follows:
Time limits:
Weekday: 2 hours
Weekends: 2 hours
Bedtime: Access prevented from 3 PM to 7 AM.
When an attempt is made to log onto this account between 3 PM and 7 AM, I am prompted to enter an administrator ID and password to add time to this account. After entering a valid admin ID and password, I am prompted to enter it again. I am 100% confident that I am entering the ID and password correctly.
If I wait a few seconds during the second prompt, it will timeout/disappear and return me to the login window. From this login window, if I log onto the account under parental control, the login proceeds normally, acting as though the time extension was previously approved.
This behavior is new to Snow Leopard. Under Leopard, I was not prompted to enter the admin ID and password twice.
Is anyone else seeing this behavior with parental controls under Snow Leopard?
