I'm looking to add a couple USB ports to my rMBP. Before anyone scoffs and says, "get a USB hub!", I'd like to explain. I am looking to use my rMBP as audio recording workstation under Bootcamp. On one USB, I have a USB 3.0 secondary drive that I record audio to. On the other USB, I have my USB audio interface. Both require the fastest speed possible, and I'd hate to stick a hub in between either. That said, it'd be nice to be able to use a keyboard and mouse. I'm guessing I'm SOL, but figured I'd see if anyone had any ideas. Thanks!

You could buy a thunderbolt-based dock with USB ports on it, but those are ridiculously expensive. A more economical solution perhaps would be to buy a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

Hah, hell, I didn't even think about Bluetooth. I was badmouthing it just yesterday, but that might be an awesome solution to my problem. Thanks a ton! Definitely trying to avoid a $300 thunderbolt docking station.
