Hi, appreciate help in advanced

I have phurcased 2 Apple watches 5series cellular. My kids have mobile phones but not SIM cards. I don’t want to set them up family set up as they won’t be able to use full features on there own eg face modify etc. I’m on 02 uk. I want to add them to my cellular acc so I get billed but I want them to have there own Apple ID on them so I can call them whenever 02 saod this is not possible Is ther a way around this. Thanks

Not exactly as you desire.

Apple Watch cellular uses the iPhone's plan as an extra device ("wearable") and line. So, pairing a watch to an iPhone without SIM isn't going to allow cellular service. The watch will work but won't allow activating cellular service.

Family Setup would mostly satisfy your stated needs.

1) Allow watch users/wearers to call, message you and you them as well as others -- you can restrict contacts
2) Pair and manage several watches, each will have its own phone number -- which is typically an added fee for each line to your wireless bill -- and is associated to the user's (for example, child) own Apple ID.

There are indeed limitations due to lack of multiple account support for iOS and certain iOS apps.

Thank you for your reply.

Question:
I know I can have up to 3 cellular accounts on my mobile contract . So that’s up to 3 watch’s at £5 a month each on my existing one contract.

So if I put my sim in my sons phone and activated cellular via the Apple Watch app on his Apple ID and then put The sim in my daughters phone and activated it via her iCloud acc do u think this is possible ?
Would this work ?

Not a bad question, however, I don't have an answer for you. I would lean towards no, but that's simply a guess.

If you add an AW to your cellular account it is given an esim with your mobile number effectively it’s a clone ..... so even if you can add both they will have the same mobile number .... is that what you are trying to achieve ?
