Address Book Hangs on Quit

Every time I quit out of Address Book it freezes (locksup hangs).
I have tried exporting my data, deleting the database and other files from my user library, deleting preferences for the Address Book and then reimporting but that has not helped.

MacOS10.4.11 PowerBookG4 15" all up to date

Ideas? (Do not bother to suggest upgrading to 10.5 or 10.6. I need Classic.)

*sign* The problem is back. It was working fine after applejacking. Then I synced with my iPod Touch in iTunes. Now Address Book hangs every time I try to quit. It appears that iTunes causes some problem. I am downloading the new iTunes. Maybe that will fix it.
