Address book in Mail OK, gone in system Address Book

Hi,

I can see my addresses when I create a new message and click the addresses button in Mail. However, if I open Address Book, there is nothing there. It seems a little strange that they show up in Mail, but not in Address book.
I deleted one of my users a while ago, which may or may not be the problem. I'm running panther, by the way.

Is there a way i can get them back from Mail? export them or something?

This may have changed with Tiger's Mail.app, but, I believe this should work...

Right click the "All" item and click "Export Group vCard..."
Import this into Address Book by going to
File -> Import -> vCards (or pressing command-O) in AB.

This should allow you to import them back into AB. Conversely, you can also right click each individual contact and export them that way.
