Address Book "Make This My Card" Annoyance!

I had a problem removing a photo of myself from "My Card". I found I had to make another card "My Card" to free up the photo deletion option, delete the photo, then reapply the "Make This...". However, now I'm left with what I think is a text box in the blank photo space which says "Me". I'm sure I never put it there! Not my style at all! The point is, for the life of me I cannot get rid of it. It's weird and it's annoying. Any ideas anyone? Surely it cannot be a default?
