address book opens on boot?

every time i start my mac, address book opens when i log in - how do i stop this?

Sytem Prefs->Accounts->Login Items

'CTRL-click'/'Right-click' on the Address Book icon in the dock and deslect the 'Open at Login' option.

ha - none of those are selected, ie they are not active; but it still starts on login....

is there a script running somewhere i can stop?

Hi alpinepower,

Do you happen to have omnigrowl installed as well?

I had the same thing suddenly happen when I removed all my items at startup and started to replace them. I couldn't figure out which one of the startup items was causing it, but by FLUKE launched the prefs of omnigrowl just as it started up (command - comma).

In there you'll find a check box that says "Launch Address Book" - uncheck it.
