Address Book/RAZR V3 Bluetooth Problem

I found out that the Address Book can connect to a bluetooth phone and send SMS messages. I cannot get it to work. I click the bluetooth button on the Address Book, my phone shows up in the list, I select Pair and it asks for a password. I enter it in and at the bottom it says "connecting....connection successful" but the B button never lights up blue.

I have been able to sync the phone with iSync in the past but I don't want to sync every contact and I can't see a way to change that.

Anyway I know the computer is able to connect to the phone so why can't I use it with Address Book?

Who is your carrier. Verizon locks out most BT features.

I'm using Cingular. I've been able to send photos from the phone to my Mac so the bluetooth connection is good.
