Address Book: smart group conflict

I created a smart group in Address Book with some flawed logic and it rendered my Address Book unusable. When I launch the app, all I get is a spinning rainbow wheel, then the app crashes. I am still learning my way around the mac, so I'm looking for some advice here.

So here's my big question: Is there some way for me to delete this smart group without launching the app? I believe the app has gotten itself into a logical infinite loop when trying to build this group. If I remove the group, I believe I can get the app to work again.

If there isn't a way, can someone offer another solution?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to bump this, but if no one knows a solution, can you at least offer a good place to go for help? I'm not even sure if this is the appropriate forum.

I can't seem to find any solutions through searches.
