HI, I have just inheritied my partners old Power bood G4. He got a new one. :( i am a PC user that is in the process of the change over.
can anyone tell me how to get my contacts from Microsoft outlook to Mail?
thanks in advance

I'm not too familiar with Outlook, but what you need to do is export your contacts as a vCard. I'm guessing: File > Export > vCard.

Then put this vCard file onto your new mac. Open Address Book and click File > Import > vCard. Then select the vCard file. That should do it :)

OS X is different to windows because your items (emails, contacts, calander) are split up into different applications, but they all work together, so Apple Mail looks at the Address Book app to get your contact's details.
