iPod touch Addresses duplicated, now gone.

I was editing my addresses on my ipod Touch 3rd gen. after I noticed that they were all duplicated, so I deleted the second entry. Got home and Synced my ipod, then I noticed all entries were gone on the ipod, checked my imac address book and they were all gone. Went to the Time Machine and there was no backup info for the address book.
Am I screwed?
