Hello all, I'm new to these forums. I have just purchased a Mac OS X 10.5.6 (Leopard) and I am trying to install this driver link (Scroll to the bottom). When I do I get about half way and it stops and starts at the beginning of the installation. I've noticed that it stops at info.plist.

I have been able to install this driver on a Mac OS X 10.4.11 and it works great. The tablet seems to be recognized by Mac OS X 10.5.6 and I can used all the functionality of the tablet that Mac lets you. Such as write and so on and so fourth. The program Art Rage 2.5 works perfectly fine without the drivers but programs like Photoshop need this driver to detect pen pressure.

I have contacted Adesso numerous times and have tried to call several times without any response. I'm hoping that someone may have the solution for me or perhaps could help me figure a solution.

I too am having the exact same issue with my CyberTablet M14! Have you found a solution yet?

Solution on it's way.

I Have finally contacted the company and they have to make new drivers because the brand new macs have Kernel Version: Darwin 9.6.0 rather then 9.5.0. They also say that the drivers where not tested for the use of the new CS4 and Mac, and that all the drivers are top priority because I guess over the holiday they where "blown up" with this problem.

So in time new drivers will be released...

Thank you for the update!

Updated driver on the way

For anyone who has or is experiencing this problem, I just found out today that they are testing the driver on all the new systems and OS. So hopefully we will see our Adessos working on all the 64 bit versions as well as the 32 bit. The estimated time frame for this to be fixed by next week starting Monday the 12th of 2009.

Grrr.... it's the 19th and I'm still waiting for their driver update....
I wish that they had replied to my e-mails and posted notifications on their website. It's a great product, but the company's lack of support is disappointing.

Yes, What I'll do is as soon as my wife gets back from the spa is post a direct email and number you can call to talk to someone. The more people that complain and get on them, the faster the results I assume. I'm getting really peeved as well.

I sent them another email stating that their customer server or communication is lousy. They really need to show a news update or blog of some sort, displaying problems they have and the progress on them. There is no way to tell if the driver is close to being updated or if they've really started working on the solution. Or how will we know if it's been updated and ready to download if they don't have any little update blurb. Well see, I might end up just going to the BBB and begin to mass writing bad reviews on their customer service, the products are amazing in my opinion.

Time to switch perhaps to http://www.wacom.com/index.html and say farewell to Adesso.

Contact info.

These are instructions from my wife, so good luck. :p Sorry it took a bit longer then I said it would.

Phone Number:
1-909-869-0612
Ask for Eric in IT

Option 3 and if that goes to their weird voicemail, call again and go to the operator. if you get the message from the operator (like and inbox). keep calling and they will pick up.. it means they are on the other line

Email:
eric@adesso.com

I was told that he responds better to the phone calls then the emails.

Another Progress Update.

My wife just got this today.

Dear Jessica: Our engineer in Asia is working on the new driver for Mac OS 10.5.6 right now. According to their schedule, we should have the new version of the software within this week. Once we upload to the web, I will let you know. Sorry about it. Also, thank you for the driver info. It helps us to improve our product compatibility. Best Regards,

Yesterday we sent them another email with the link to this forum. If you have anything to add that may help them, post it because they might check it to see if anything else needs fixing. :apple:

Let us hop that this week, really means this week and not next month lol
I can't wait because I want to be able to use it with CS4 without issue.
Thanks for keeping me up to date with this as they do not like to e-mail me back...
I noticed that they have a new live chat system!
Except...
It's always offline...

The long await is finally here.

I still haven't seen an update... lol I'm very anxious to see it finally finished.
It shouldn't be too long now....

.....hopefully.

OK, Good news! I just got the update emailed to me. I installed it and it works just fine. Paul said that they would be putting the new drivers up tomorrow... but if not here is the one I got. I'm not responsible if it doesn't work or does damage to your computer so download and install at your own risk. :apple:

CyberTablet V1.73.zip

O.k. maybe it's just me... but I have 2 problems with this driver.
1. It won't uninstall. It hangs at Items to be deleted: 117
2. The pen acts frantically. Before I installed any drivers the pen moved smoothly across the screen while HOVERING above the board.
Now it flies all around and then hides in the lower left hand corner. If I move it while touching the pad it works fine, but if I so much as lift the pen, it goes frantic and hides in the corner. I can't fix it. The Pen Offset thing says Adjusting Please Wait... But I let it sit for 5 minutes and it was still "adjusting" without any improvement. And the auto setting doesn't do anything...
Jeez they had several month to perfect it and it seems worse with the driver... lol
This adds:
Dual Display Support
Pressure Sensitivity
Hot Key customization
Pressure Sensitivity
Button Customization
"Pen Offset Value" - Doesn't work...

UPDATE:
Ok, I fiddled around for an hour with it and it seems to have a long learning curve (on the computer's end) to lean how you use the pen in order to zone in on how the pen should act in relation to the pressure eon the board. It seems to no longer go crazy as I hover the pen...
All seems well

Awesome

The first part had me worried, I would just have said I'm sorry but just wait for your version of the drivers to come out on the website. Though I'm verry happy to hear you got it working ;)

Yes, so Adesso finally pulled through (though at the time of this writing it still wasn't updated on the website)
Thanks for you continued help Muchalipski!!!!

Damn it....
WHen I thought it was all perfect....
The macro keys don't work for photoshop cs 4...
I'll fiddle around with things and see what happens.

Thanks

Hello,

I just wanted to say thank you for posting that link to download the driver. I have an Adesso M14 tablet and the driver you posted seems to be working just fine.

I had emailed adesso before about posting the driver but haven't yet received a response. I don't know that much about computers, both my mac and tablet are new, though I was wondering if the driver for the different equipment would affect anything having to do with the varying lpi resolution? (2000 on the z12 and 4000 on the m14 I believe). Meaning, does my M14 only respond to a 2000lpi resolution? sorry, I just don't know that much about the way any of this works yet. :)

Anyway, thanks again for posting the driver, at least my tablet works now and I can get back to drawing. :)

Well, it really doesn't matter in your case because you have the CyberTablet M14. It has the two scrolls at the top and 34 programmable macro keys, right?
If that's the case, then the driver will recognize the tablet to it's full potential. I believe that if you install the wrong driver it may recognize some pressure sensitivity, but it would behave erratically.

Also. I found how to make the macro keys work correctly. When you create a new profile, give it a name, but don't assign a program to it. Just be sure to change the profile and click OK depending on what program you are using.

Yes, my tablet has the scrolls and more macro keys than I know what to do with. The driver recognizes the tablet in the FKey Handler app, and is a little different in the CyberTablet app, but I doubt it matters much.

What does concern me is that the drawing with this driver is not as smooth and my lines are coming out more jagged than they should. Are you having this problem at all?

At the moment I am using sketchbook pro 2009.

I just got my tablet today and i can't find the driver to install it... I'm having the same problem and now the link posted has expired.

Can someone help me? I'll probably send it back if I don't hear back in a few days. Way more hassle than it's worth. I can keep drawing with pencil... :|
