Adhesive strips late 2012'

Question about these strips :

If installed meticulously, are they physically identical to one originally installed by Apple?

I'm asking this if I open it and use this, but have an issue with the iMac later on (I have extended Applecare until 2015), would they be able to tell? *Of course as mentioned above, installed meticulously.

If the tech is paying attention, they will be able to tell.

Besides, they'll be able to see whatever you've done inside anyway. There are loads of ways to tell if a machine has been opened . Whether they care or not is a different question.
