Adhoc wireless network question

So I got the answer to my previous question but now can't seem to have my iphone see the Laptops Adhoc wireless SSID and even if I hit "OtheR" and type it in manually it wont see my network...

Any suggestions?

I've had it connect to wifi before many times never any issues.

interesting. are you encrypting it at all? i would first try to leave it as simple (aka open) as possible, see if it detects it.
