Adium and iChat problems

I am having problems with both adium and ichat. Adium will open for 5 or 10 minutes then crash. iChat will open and then pop a message up instantly saying "lost connection with AIM/ the connection to the host was unexpectedly lost." Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

I just searched your post hoping to find a solution. I am having the identical problem. iChat gives me a dialog box stating it has lost the connection while Adium does not notify my and then think that I'm still online. All other web connections are perfectly fine, I browse and RSS just fine....just these AIM connections are losing it.

Have you found a solution yet?

I ended up just loading a previous backup. I never could get it working Sorry
