i love adium... however, this problem is rather annoying. whenever i set an away message up on it, rather than saying i'm away, it tells my buddies that i'm mobile and then starts sending messages to my cell phone. whenever i put an away message up on AIM on my PC, it works just fine. i DO have it setup so when i close my instant message client that it automatically sets me into mobile mode... but what the heck? why don't away messages work on adium like they do on AIM??

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have adium set to instantly show you idle? I believe the way the aim cell phone forwarding works is, as soon as aim sees you idle, or you've signed off from aim, then the forwarding starts. That may be your problem.

a darn good idea... but i just checked my away messages on there and none of them have that checked.
