Adium + MSN - Cannot display nickname or display picture

Continually reverts to email address, and refuses to display a picture.

I don't get it. Help! I know there are previous threads on this, but I've even tried installing the latest beta/nightly build. My friends are getting fed up. I don't notice a difference, but they do!

Alright, I fixed it by going to Windows Live services and entering a display name there. Obviously not an ideal solution but at least it's not my email address anymore.

Hope they update the protocol soon.
