Adium + Offlining = Fail

It seems Adium on my new MAC, doesn't support Offline Conversations, I have a friend who constantly sends Offliners and I still haven't received one.

Anyone else have this problem.

Yeah I know what you mean, id be interested in what its all about aswell. Whenever I sign into MSN on a windows machine i usually get a huge backlog of offline messages.

Could just be a bug not taken care of yet I guess...

Adium doesn't support the offline protocol. Sucks really, but that's a price you pay for not using the native client.

[edit] Mercury Messenger supports offline messaging.

mac msn doesnt do ofline messages either... well mine doesnt. as everytime i log onto a pc i get a back log as well

this means that he has to start the convo, you are unable to start it even if you know he is online. if he is offline and doesnt talk for a minute (or so) you wont be able to contact him. that really peeves me off.



btw has anyone noticed that when an internet connection disconnects (i.e. i turn off my airport) adium will quit>?< using the newest adium btw.

It means you can talk with contacts which are offline. You still won't get offline messages if they were sent while you were offline

Problem with Adium is sometimes you can talk with offline contacts, other times you can't.

haha yea when my gf used to stop talking id just ring her house fone... then wed talk on the fone for like 3hours and 4get about msn. much more personal that way

One thing i miss about ICQ is that when you were invisible you could put an "eye" on people you wanted to see you while you were invisible. How hard is this to implement?
