Adium problem

Today I got my first Apple computer. I have a few friends who own them so I already knew a few things to down and Adium was one of them. I downloaded it and tried to get onto Facebook and MSN. My MSN worked and my Facebook said that it was connected but none of my contacts came up. I restarted the computer and they showed up and some of the contacts were online but then when I got on the real Facebook they weren't. So it was pretty much telling me that some of them were online when they weren't. I was just wondering if anyone knew any way to fix this problem. If anyone does it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Don't use the "Facebook" service in Adium, use the official method of connecting which is Jabber. Configuration instructions are available on the Facebook site.
