I have Safari Version 16.2 (18614.3.7.1.5) under macOS Ventura 13.1 using the system dark theme. Sites often misbehave with their Favicons under Safari and show a white filled box around the icon (or Safari just handles them poorly). It looks rather jarring under Safari in the dark theme. I take it there's not many options if at all any, but but am wondering what others think of this?

those icons are in a square format, and the white is part of the icon itself

EDIT: some site have invisible background png favicons (so, no square box; instagram, for example); it's really up to the site's designers...
