Hello - All devices up to date. Tried unpairing the HomePod mini and then repairing it, no help.

My issue is that during a call, if I am taking it on the HomePod mini, the iPhone volume controls do not adjust the call volume on the HomePod. The HomePod's virtual buttons on top of the unit do properly adjust the volume. Anybody know the deal? Pretty sure this used to work. During the process of adjusting volume on the iPhone, it looks like it is doing the job but alas.

I think you can only adjust the volume when playing music. No mention of changing call volume in Apple support notes

Thanks for the reply. It works if I touch the control on the top of the HomePod but not from the phone while using it as an audio device for the call. I think it should do that.

Yeah it should do and I don’t understand why it doesn’t but i searched all over Google and no mention of controlling call volume from the phone

It’s probably because the phone is used to Bluetooth devices and the HomePod mini is purely wifi. And it should still work. I filed a bug report .
