Hi everyone!
This is my first post on this forum and I am also a newly proud owner of an iMac 27" i7! :)

The iMac is working like a dream and is really a beauty on my desk!

However, there is one small thing that disturbs me somewhat: The Glass-panel is somewhat mounted a little wrong. It isn't much, less than 1 mm on the "worst" place. It is between the left side and right side. On one left side it is a little bit "missing", while it on the right side is going over the edge - hopefully you all understand what I mean! :)

All this does of course not affect the overall functionality of the computer, and the fact is I didn't see this until a week after I got the computer...
But I think it is a bit of a shame, specially after spending a lot of money on the computer, having this more aesthetic issue...

However, after searching the net I learned that the glass-panel can be adjusted since it is mounted only by magnets. See the following link: http://bit.ly/5jz2F5

I was thinking of actually trying to slightly adjust the glass-panel and see if I could get the sides to be equal! I have found two suction cups that each can lift 5 kg.

Overall it doesn't seem to be a big operation to test this. I'm not going to do anything more than this! Although I do have a couple of questions that I would like to hear from you all:

1) Has anyone here that have removed the glass-panel on the version of the iMac that exists now? Is it only mounted on magnets? (Those magnets must be megastrong!?) Also, what does the glass-panel weigh?

2) When I have removed the glass-panel, should I be able to adjust it like 1mm to the side or is it impossible?

3) Will my adjustment of the glass-panel affect my warranty? As I have understood there is no emblem or other thing that, if it is affected or broken, voids my guaranty?

4) Something I should be thinking of that I have not mentioned? I know to be careful with dust and all that, and to use good suction-cups. I am not going to lift the glass much at all, just a bit enough to be able to adjust it!

5) Finally, If you were me, would you:
a) have tried to adjust the glass-panel yourself?
b) let it be and continue to be happy over your beautiful iMac?
c) send it back for warranty issues? (IS this even a warranty issue?)

I am SO grateful for ALL help I can get in this issue!
Sincerely,
Najk
