adjusting the transparancy level when folders are active

hi,
i've been searching everywhere for a solution to this but no hope..its probably bad keywording but can't find anything!

what i want to do is make adjust the dark overlay.
e.g.

in the image, all the icons/apps outside of the folder has low transparancy.. On my phone, the area outside of the expanded area is just black... can't see the wallpaper, or the icons... how do i change it so that it looks like the image linked?
I have my phone jailbroken and can ssh normally..

Do you have BossPaper installed or some other Winterboard wallpaper theme?

I have suave installed...i needa edit some plist or something i think...

You need to remove the wallpaper background that comes with it. And use the built-in wallpaper feature.
