I'm using RDP on a computer that is set to go to sleep. Using Wake On LAN, I can wake the computer first.

Sounds like it should work fine, but in OS X if there is no user input within several seconds, it just goes right back to sleep. And it takes several seconds to restore network connectivity. So the problem is, I cannot provide an user input until RDP connects and RDP cannot quite connect in time.

The go-back-to-sleep timer is very, very close to the amount of time it takes to restore network connectivity and thus prevent the computer from going back to sleep.

How or where can I increase the amount of time that OS X waits between waking from sleep to going back to sleep due to lack of user input?

Yes I know I can just run the computer 24x7, but that is not the question and it is not something I want to do.
