my mother bought a second hand g4 and it was wiped of pictures and documents, but the admin password is still required for updates. Seeing as we haven't got it, is there a way to override this?
Thanky

Do you have the original disks? or any retail cd. If so you can reset the password with them. What you need to do is install the cd and power down your machine. Then turn it on and hold down the "C" key to get it to boot off the cd. Then pick your country and then stop there. Look for the utilities on the menu bar. The password reset should be there..
