I am having trouble with the frame blending option for my animation. I'm new to after effects but I need to learn how to use it for this project.

What happens is that the frame blending button that is supposed to be right next to the motion blur button is not there. I'm thinking that it may be the type of files that I'm using...but they are just regular Photoshop files.

This regards CS5.

I also attached a screen shot. It's for a talking appendix animation.

Frame blending only works on video layers. There is nothing to "blend" with photoshop files since they represent a single image. What you probably want is motion blur.
