I just noticed I have 1GB of .dat files in /Users/*username*/Library/Caches/Adobe Camera Raw. What are all these files? Can I get rid of them? Space is very valuable on my SSD...

I use Photoshop and Lightroom, if that helps.

Thanks!

Yes, you can get rid of them like so:

1. Open PS
2. In menu bar: Photoshop --> Preferences --> Camera Raw...
3. About halfway down: Purge Cache

You can also specify the cache size there, if you'd like..

Gotcha, thanks. What are all these files for?

[EDIT] Just tried to make the cache smaller (it was set to 1.0 GB) and it told me it had to be at least 1 GB. What for??? [/EDIT]
