Adobe CC Photoshop (v14)

I see this Photoshop CC version pop up but I have Creative Cloud and my Photoshop still says CS6 when I update. I'm note sure where the CC version comes from.
I've noticed it's version 14, compared to CS6 Photoshop 13.x.x. I have been using the most current CS Master Suite apps for years, but stopped when CC was announced. I've read some of the reviews, but haven't read/heard much comparing the CC v14 to CS6 13. Wondering if moving to the "new" subscription based app's is worth it. Have you checked the app version number open?

Adobe downloaded a new CC app manager to my Mac. Opening the original one shows CS6 as up to date. After hunting down the new manager I see PS CC listed. I haven't updated yet.

EDIT: Ok it looks like its a newer version because Photoshop CC is version 14 while Photoshop CS6 is 13. CC has more features too so I assume for those who have a Creative Cloud subscription the CC versions of the apps are what you want.

Personally, I'm getting the complete suite for only $19.99 a month for the first year, which includes Lightroom.
I should professionally and use both Lightroom and Photoshop.
