Hey, I think I updated my adobe, and now all my good ole' word .docs are pdfs. Had a bunch on the desktop that only open with adobe as pdfs now. Definitely don't want to retype these papers! Is there an easy way to switch it all back to normalville? Thanks. :confused:sNick.

still struggling

hey thanks for the response, but i'm still stuck. I followed your link at did what it said, but eventually it just got to the point of converting the pdf to a word file, i clicked that option and it came back with an error message. It really seems like they all changed to pdf. They have the adobe logo and show up as .pdf files.

That is really, really strange. They were .doc files before (created with what MS Word version or what other word editor?) and now they ARE .pdf files? They even show up as .pdf file when you select GET INFO?
And can you open them via Word or the application you used to save them as .doc?

not chet

Hey I also liked those graphics but still no deal on solving the prob. These were plain old word docs. Any more tips?

What happens if you change them from .pdf to .doc in Finder and click USE .DOC on the following message. Will they open in Word again? Or what happens, if open the .pdf documents in Word, are they editable?
