Adobe CS2.3

Hey I have been interested in using Adobe CS2 for a while now but have been put of by the price. I remember reading about upgrades from CS2.3 to CS3 is this possible on the student version? If this is the case is this a good deal?

You can definitely upgrade, but I think it will cost you. Look here for american prices.

There are no upgrades from student editions TO student editions if that's what you're asking, but you can upgrade from student to full for the normal upgrade price AFAIK.

$235AU/$192US is great, more than 50% off the original CS2 Premium Student price. If you don't have an Intel Mac (or can't afford the CS3 upgrade at $600), get it.
