Adobe CS3 Acrobat 8 Professional, uninstalling/installing

I'm having problems using Adobe CS3 Acrobat 8 Professional on my MacBook after a system software upgrade from Mac OS X 10.5.8 to Mac OS X 10.6.8, Snow Leopard.

I want to reinstall CS3 Acrobat 8 Professional. My question is, must I uninstall the application that's on my computer before reinstalling it using my CS3 application CD? That is, can I reinstall the app right on top of the existing one?

Don't believe you can install over top. It will most likely leave you with the problems you are currently having whatever they may be. I would suggest uninstall and reinstall. Very simple to do. I once had a problem with one of my programs in CS4 and tried installing over top with no fixed results. Did the uninstall and reinstall and problem was gone.
