I'm trying to burn a 15 minute film onto Blu-Ray with Encore. I've went through 4 coasters (BD-Rs are not cheap) and they all die at the same spot. Whenever I burn the disc it gets to 853 megs and just beachballs to death.

I even tried to burn it in Vista with Boot Camp and it dies with the Iso. I know the drive works since I burned a test Blu ray video when I bought the drive.

Has anyone else had the beachball burn issue with Encore with BD-Rs?

I have an LG GBW-H20L burner and the rest of my system is in my sig.

I fed encore a 720p24 ProResHQ file from final cut.

Does it matter that i have a Sata to IDE adapter on the drive?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Yeah Encore's BR burning is filled with issues... I don't think anyone has been able to do anything with it except put media on a disc (no real menus, just a play button).

If you are creating a menu, I'd say dumb it down as much as possible.

I did and tried to encode/burn it in toast 9, i think the drive is busted. Gonna contact LG customer support today. THAT should be fun
