I'm running OSX 10.6.8 and I'm recently unable to view video on Facebook. I'm being asked to download the latest version of Flash Player. I'm a Safari user.
I've been reading that Apple and Flash don't play well together and I'm hesitant to download Flash Player for a various number of reasons - security vulnerability being one of them.
Question: Why suddenly am I unable to view these videos on FB? Am I setting myself up for trouble if I install Flash? Is there an alternative? The Adobe site says I'm already running an older version of Flash Player. I thought Macs didn't come pre-loaded with Flash Player. I never D/L it.
Thanks.

You cloud just use Chrome for sites that need Flash. Chrome has its own version of Flash built in and it updates on its own along with Chrome.

I uninstalled Flash from my Macs and just use Chrome with Flash is absolutely necessary.

Here is a blog explaining what to do.
