Adobe Flash Strangeness

Running 10.10.2 on my 2013 iMac
trying to install flash, i get this odd authentication dialog box.....


i assume its trying to use i font i don't have or something....
i think i got the same issue when trying to install the latest version of eyetv too...
anyone really know what this is?
