Is there a way to get color swatches or somehow select shades of the few colors it offers or any other colors? Or is thst all Adobe is offering? WTF Adobe.

Yes, you can select any shade of any color. You can even make custom pallets of colors that are automatically generated from an existing image. This is all with the free app.
