Suddenly after upgrading to 10.5.2 and when trying to start Illustrator CS3 only a sad information bulletin says that "you cannot open the application because "Adobe Illustrator" is not supported in this architecture". Before the update there was no problems what so ever. And yes this paid version not warez. What can I do? With no TM backups done in 5 months is the only solution to reinstall the entire machine?

Does it need any updates from Adobe? Try running the updater and see if it finds anything, might just need a quick fix for 10.5.2

Unfortunately there are no new updates available and it seems to be happening to many programs. Luckily I found out that my other Macbook is still running Tiger. Now I just have to figure out how to deactivate Illustrator to be able to install it again.
