Hi, I'm having a problem with Illustrator CS3 that I can't figure out for the life of me. I'm printing out text and a path based logo that prints out really pixelated and that's a lighter gray color instead of black. The fonts look really pixelated like you're printing out fonts as bitmaps instead of fonts is the only way I can describe it. When I go to our windows machine running CS2 everything is crisp and the colors are a rich black with the same file. I'm printing using a Brother Laser printer with their CUPS driver. Is there anybody that can give me a clue about this. I set raster resolution to 300dpi and even tried 288 to no avail.

Answering my own question. Brother's CUPS printer driver causes pixelation under Adobe programs no matter what you do. I switched to Brother's PPD Br-Script 3 driver and the pixelation was completely gone. The gray was fixed by moving the document's colorspace to RGB and changing color to pure black and adjusting the black color preferences.
