I've been using preview for years, simple and efficient. Do you require some advanced functionality from Acrobat? What is the best pdf reader on M1?
Preview. The overwhelming majority of folks will not need to download a PDF viewer on the Mac. It’s pre-installed.The installation takes forever and I had to force quit the installation process. I have the Air base version. Does anyone have the same issue? What is the best pdf reader on M1? Thanks for any help!
Adobe does not officially support any of its CC aps on M1 yet, but I can download pretty much all of them via the Universal native CC app-launcher (its in beta). Been trying the complicated ones like LR Classic and InDesign where they seem to run fine. However for some reasons Acrobat DC / pro / Distiller is not only unsupported but it is listed as incompatible. I couldn't install or find it via the CC app, then I started a text chat with their online support, the guy seems to be uninformed on the situation and redirected me to download Acrobat DC directly. The installer ran successfully, but the app itself kind of refuse to launch sometimes, or it ran but then force quits itself after just minor activity.I absolutely depend on Acrobat Pro. I can't buy a new Mac until I'm sure I can install/run Adobe AP.
Could you pls post a print screen here and confirm? For basic reading, Preview. For more complicated PDFs that need fast, smooth reading and that you want to annotate and make notes, then PDF Expert works great for me.
