adobe photoshop cs3 on a black macbook

Okay so I have a question about CS3. I am going to get a blackbook
For college this year, I'm not studying anything to do with graphics photography is just kind of a hobby for me, I was thinking about getting cs3 when I buy the MacBook to get the discount ($199 when u buy it with a mac + student) I have photoshop elements on my iMac and it just never worked and was extremely slow, and I used cs3 at school in my photography classes and I loved it. So for a hobby is photoshop cs3 worth it??? And the major question is will photoshop cs3 slow down my blackbook? (that's what I'm
most worried about)

I've been running Photoshop CS3 on my 2.2 BlackBook since November of last year, and have never experienced any slowdowns!
I almost always have these apps running at the same time: PS CS3, Safari,Mail,iTunes,and VMware Fusion.
