I currently switched to premiere because i use the tm700k panasonic hd camcorder. The files are mts AVCHD and FCP could not import it.
Premiere played it smoothly right from import.

The files are all 60fps. But what i wanted to do is have a 2.35:1 ratio as final output and give it that 24fps look not sure how to go about doing it. I dont want to reduce the speed from 60 to 24 though.

any advice.

To get your aspect ratio you just need to create a matte in premiere or photoshop and layer it over your footage.

As for getting the 24p "look." I really don't know what to tell you besides converting your footage to 23.98fps. Why don't you want to do that?

By keeping your footage at 59.97fps, you're always going to have that ultra smooth look.
