Hi
I have just bought Adobe Premiere elements 10 for my Imac but I notice that it is only 64 bit on windows. Should I carry on using OSX or switch to Windows 7 that I have on a bootcamp partition.
Thanks for any advice.

Do you have more than 4GB of RAM installed in your machine?

The biggest improvement in 64bit is in memory addressing. You'll be able to take advantage of as much RAM as you can throw at the program. If the answer is no, then it's not a really big gain.

Also consider how inconvenient it is to have to switch operating systems. Just how heavy is your work in Premiere? If it's casual, I would definitely stay in OSX.

Hi
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I have 12 gb of ram installed.

Then it may be worth your while to run it in Windows if you already have a Windows partition installed, especially if you're working with lots of media, or sequences with lots of tracks.

Again though, I would make sure it's worth the trouble. If you're just doing simple editing, you're not going to see the difference.
