While viewing PDFs recently, scroll bar has started jumping from page to page, instead of smoothly scrolling down. Any ideas? (Seems like a minor irritant, I know, but I read scads of articles for grad school. Slows me way down.)

Thanks for any help!!

Use Preview?

Is there any benefit to using that vs. Preview?

I'm generally using Adobe Reader to open PDFs. That's where I've had the scroll bar annoyance, with it jumping from page to page. (recent problem) Saving the PDF to my desktop and opening it in preview, at your suggestion, shows only pages--no scroll bar. So, I don't see how that would solve it.

What I'm trying to do is smoothly scroll down the document, without jumping from page to page. Is there a scroll function in preview?

These are .pdf documents on the Web? What browser are you using? Safari will display pdfs with no need to download and open them.

As for scrolling in Preview, do View-->PDF Display-->Single Page Continuous?
