I recently had to install Adobe Reader onto my Mac, to be able to acsess a form from the UK Inland Revenue... The Form was one of these complicated Adobe think that preview couldn't handle..

Anyway, for normal purposes I am noes than happy with Apple Preview, but Adobe reads all PDF's from the web now..

I can I turn off Adobe Reader, leaving it there for when and if I need it again?

Plugins

I found two files in the system library, under internet plugins,

1. AdobePDFViewer.plugin
2. AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

I removed these fields from the library directory and now have got Preview back....

Is this really the best way of fixing this problem? It seems a bit brutal, surely there is a switch somewhere?

Does anyone know?
