Ads absent on front page??

What happened to the banner ad? They were sometimes so fun to play with!

Just get pithhelmet and you never have to see another banner ad.

I know sometimes on Safari those banner ads don't appear. Like on Tripod sites, they don't appear with Safari for some reason. Here at MacRumors, they sometimes don't appear, but so far today there have been ads. For some reason I've been seeing these text only ads w/o a background. I kinda miss those 'shoot the robber' ads, those were fun But banner ads don't really bug me at all, its those pop up ads that T me off

Better, once the option is back up, become a contributor. No ads, and you help the site.
