I have a macbook pro late 2011 and use os x 10.8. I get so many ads pop up ads throughout articles and at side of screen. Some websites also run slow - if I'm trying to read an article, the fan will come on and the scrolling isn't efficient. I didn't get these before I reinstalled my HD and don't know what my settings were previously to prevent this. I tried Adblock and it worked for awhile. Today I tried Adblock again, Malware Bytes and reinstalling Firefox, and the ads are still occurring. This is what they look like:

Note the little x and arrow in the top right of the ads - I'm not sure if that indicates where they come from. Most of them have this.
