Been a regular visitor / lurker here for quite a while, but first time posting.
Have had several occasions (including the last hour or so) where visiting the site in the browser hangs loading an ad url from adshelter.net. Behavior evidenced is that the site is unavailable until that request times outs. Used to be a quick fix under Windows to redirect the misbehaving hostname at the localhost, but took a bit of tracking down to resolve under Snow Leopard.
Not sure if it would be in violation of the site terms - but have a quick terminal fix for it if its of interest to others. Most amusing part in tracking down the solution is that most of the posts related were on macrumors...
