Since both 14" and 16" 2021 MBPros can be configured with the same CPU, GPU and RAM options, what is the advantage of the 16" form factor over the 14"?

Clearly the screen is larger if you need it. Is cooling better to avoid throttling of sustained loads? Anything else?

They say the 16 has better cooling with the max and a high power mode. I think really its what form factor you like I would bet they benchmark almost identical. Not sure I have seen a side by side yet with just thermals.

Significantly longer battery life...about 90 minutes longer.

I had the 16" i9 and returned it due to the heat issues few years ago. But boy I missed that screen going from 13" then.
I was debating the 14" but side by side would not give me tones of real estate as i have so many windows open and they all overlap on the 13" so its like moving things around etc etc. I'm just worried about the weight of the 16".

Also my hands had to reach over the edge of the bottom trackpad to the keyboard and used to leaves marks on my wrist when i was resting them and made it a bit uncomfortable. but thats just me.

ok - so far we have

1. bigger screen for those that need it (pixel real estate)

2. longer batter life

3. potentially longer sustained high performance due to better cooling - benchmarks TBA
