Advantage to buying 4S from Verizon vs. Apple?

Tried search but didn't find anything.

I have an old basic phone through Verizon and it's been a long time since I bought a new device.

I want to upgrade to the 4s. Verizon is still charging $199.99 for the 4s while Apple (and others) have it for $99.99.

Is there any advantage to waiting for Verizon to drop the price vs. just going to the Apple store now and buying the 4s?

You can't right now b/c VZW hasn't dropped heir prices yet.
